Tulsa Rowing Club Posts Strong Finishes in Dallas Competition
TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Rowing Club had a successful day in Dallas, Tex. earlier this month at the Southwest Ergometer Amateur Tournament. The team won four medals in four different categories with additional strong performances from other members of the team.
In the adult categories, Neil Bergenroth () won the masters 30-39 age group category with a time of 6:35.0 and Micah Hartwell () won the mens open lightweight category in a time of 6:40.2.
In the youth categories, Baruch Price won the Men’s Freshman category in a time of 7:10.4. In the Junior Varsity Mens category, Brock Turner () won the silver medal in the Junior Mens Open category setting a Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors record in the process with a time of 6:28.3

Other notable finishers include Broken Arrow Senior, Ryan Carroll, who placed 5th in the Men’s Junior Novice Lightweight Mens category with a time of 7:27.6. In addition Lydia Lapidus (Holland Hall) finished 4th in the Women’s Junior Coxswain event. Anne Philpot (Regent) finished 5th in the Womens Junior Novice event in a time of 8:20.7.
In the Women’s Junior Single event Andrea Joyce (Holland Hall), Anna Royce (Holland Hall) and Molly McSweeny () finished 5th, 7th and 8th respectively, in a field of 24 demonstrating some excellent depth for the team. Finally, Eric Klammer (Edison) placed a very respectable 7th place in the Mens Junior Lightweight category with a time of 7:02.8
Tulsa Rowing Club Juniors is holding an open house Learn to Row week on Feb 22nd through 26th, 2010 at the Tulsa Rowing Club for those high school athletes who are looking to learn how to row and join the team.
