Tulsa, Oklahoma –– Due to the recent winter storm forcing poor travel and road conditions in the state of Oklahoma and the Tulsa area, The University of Tulsa has postponed its Athletic Hall of Fame Awards Dinner scheduled for 5:00 pm this Saturday night, February 5th, prior to the Golden Hurricane men’s basketball game.
The safety of the attendees driving from out of town and the ability to deliver a quality event for the inductees, their guests and the attendees were all factors in the university’s decision. The Tulsa athletic department is putting all of its’ emphasis into preparing to host the men’s basketball game against Houston on Saturday night and the women’s game on Sunday afternoon.
As originally scheduled, the Tulsa Golden Hurricane men’s basketball team will host the Houston Cougars on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
In other news, the Tulsa women’s game against Memphis has been rescheduled for next Tuesday, February 8th at 7 pm. This game was to be originally played tonight. The Tulsa women host this Sunday at 1 pm at the Reynolds Center.
Tulsa’s men’s tennis matches scheduled for Friday against and Sunday against have also been postponed. The Golden Hurricane will face at 6 pm on Friday, February 18th. No makeup date has yet been announced for the match.
