Tulsa’s John Beattie Earns ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Honors
TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa track and field senior John Beattie was named to the The Magazine Academic All-America Second Team, as announced today by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Beattie earned All-District VI First Team and C- All-Academic Team honors earlier this season.
Beattie maintained a 3.50 in the master’s of business administration program.
The Southampton, England native had a standout senior season sweeping the Conference Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track Athlete of Year awards. He won C- individual titles in cross country, the indoor 3,000m and 5,000m and the outdoor 5,000m.
Beattie finishes his career as a 2008 Cross Country All-American, a seven-time C- individual champion and five-time C- Athlete of the Year.
