Tulsa’s Kodi Maduka Released From Hospital
University of Tulsa sophomore basketball student-athlete Kodi Maduka was released from St. Francis Hospital on Tuesday. Maduka collapsed last Wednesday, April 4, in a pick-up basketball game on the TU campus and had remained hospitalized for observation and tests.
The Maduka family issued a statement this evening:
Kodi and our family wish to thank the athletic department, the athletic trainers, teammates, coach Manning and his coaching staff for their rapid response that resulted in the Easter miracle that could have been tragic. Kodi is fully recovering and we give all the glory to God for making everything possible. The TU family’s outpouring of support and prayers are incredible. We thank all of you and the media for their understanding and professionalism. –– Kodi, Charles and Gloria Maduka.
