Tulsa Shock Lands Cambage and Pedersen in Draft

SHOCKING POTENTIAL: Shock Head Coach Nolan Richardson, left, grins as Elizabeth (Lizzy) Cambage fields questions at her introductory press conference.
The Tulsa Shock had the number two and number seven draft choices in the 2011 Draft and they worked out very well.
Tulsa chose Elizabeth Cambage as their number two pick and Kayla Pedersen as number seven.
Cambage, from Australia, is 6’8” and one of the taller players in the league. In Australia, Cambage averaged 22.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.7 blocks a game on 59 percent shooting from the field.
Pedersen, a 6’4” standout from Stanford averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds while shooting 46.4 percent and 33.3 percent from behind the arc over her collegiate career.
Both players are expected to make an immediate impact on the team.
