Tulsa Student Opera is Night Oct. 16

More than 700 Tulsa area school children from grades 3 to 12 will enjoy a free evening at the opera as Tulsa Opera presents The Marriage of Figaro in ChapmanMusic Hall of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center at 110 East 2nd Street in Tulsa on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at 7 p.m. Students will begin arriving by bus at 6 p.m.

This is one of three new Tulsa Opera Student Nights scheduled for the 2013-2014 season. Teachers receive a study guide prior to the performance to explore with their students. The performance features Tulsa Opera’s professional cast, chorus, orchestra, sets, costumes, lighting and more – everything a “regular” audience pays to see!

The Friday opening night performance is at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday begins at 2:30 p.m. Patrons may enjoy a free pre-performance lecture an hour before curtain in the WestbyPavilion at the Performing Arts Center.
