Tulsa Talons and ONEOK Announce Partnership

The Tulsa Talons have joined ONEOK, Inc in a Corporate Care Partnership designed to reach local charities and organizations in the Tulsa community.

The 2010 Corporate Care Initiative was created to inspire kids to make positive life decisions. Select Talons players, cheerleaders and Swoop, the Talons’ mascot, will be on hand at John Burroughs Elementary School on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, to conduct mini camps on motivation, goal setting, physical fitness and conquering childhood obesity.

Children grades Pre-K through fifth grade will participate in many physical activities and games with the professional arena football team in a one-on-one setting. As part of the program, Burroughs students and their parents will be given tickets to attend the Talons’ home game on Saturday, May 22, against the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz at the Center.

“The Tulsa Talons have enjoyed being a part of this community for a decade and our corporate care partner, ONEOK, has been here for more than 100 years,” said Henry Primeaux, Talons owner. “Building strong relationships makes it possible to reach out to our neighbors throughout Green Country and inspire success in kids of any age.”

The Tulsa Talons and ONEOK will join forces to offer the rewards system game tickets to other community organizations like The Tulsa Boys Home, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Laura Dester Shelter/Youth Services and of Greater Tulsa.
