Tulsa’s Forrest Gump to run with Special Olympic Athletes
Tulsa’s Forrest Gump (Steve Kime) will run with Special Olympic athletes in a on-block exhibition run at the 24th annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K on March 11. The race has a history of being one of the top 5K races in Oklahoma. Last years race had over 1,000 runners. This race has a tradition of kicking off the racing season for runners in Oklahoma.
New in 2006, the race will serve as the first leg of the Tulsa Public Schools Triple Crown series promoting fitness and health among it’ students. All proceeds will benefit Special Olympics Oklahoma and the Tulsa Running Club. For more information call Tulsa Special Olymics at 918-481-1234.
