Tulsa’s Glazer to Release CD

JON GLAZER

An evening of great music, good food and good friends will be the scene next month for Jon Glazer’s CD release party and live concert at the TCC VanTrease Performing Arts Center Black Box Theatre.

Tulsa native Glazer’s first CD release, “Divine Rebellion,” is an exciting collection of original music he brands as “otherworldly, optimistic pop,” filling a void not yet explored by current artists.

“I genuinely believe that Divine Rebellion will give listeners music that evokes personal emotions and memories of special times in their lives, no matter their age or gender,” Glazer explains. “If so then, I’ve done my job.”

Tunes on the CD range from the outrageously stylistic licks of the title track, Divine Rebellion, to the heavily orchestrated “Why is Henry Here?” (reminiscent of early Beatles rock) to the lush and romantic “Tonight”—all with Glazer’s signature sound. The former keyboard player for The Judds, Glazer is backed on the CD and at the release party by longtime Tulsa musicians Pat Savage and Ron Morgan, plus former Caroline’s Spine drummer, Jason Gilardi.
The party is set for 7 p.m., Sunday, August 14. For more information, go to
