Tulsa Shade Has Stylish Window Treatments

VIGNETTE SHADES BY HUNTER DOUGLAS

What do you think when you look at your windows? Are they “just windows” or do they add to the beauty of your room? Tulsa Shade has beautiful window treatments to enhance any décor while providing the ultimate lighting and temperature control to your own specifications.

Eddie Elig, the owner of the “New Tulsa Shade,” opened his store on May 1, 2003. He previously worked for the 54-year-old Tulsa Shade and Drapery Co., Inc. for over ten years. When the old Tulsa landmark company went out of business in April, 2003, Ellig felt it would be a shame to allow this historical “Old Time Shade Shop” to fade into nonexistence.

Roller shades are still handmade in-shop to custom fit your windows. Tulsa Shade is one of the only shops nationwide to hand-roll and cut to size both regular and laminated roller shades. Laminated roller shades are handmade by applying fabrics of your choice to regular shade cloth. The result is the design, color, and texture of your own fabric choice in the room. Tulsa Shade still uses a long established “workroom” to custom-build your draperies in any style, including handmade Roman, Balloon, and Australian shades.

To preserve the “old” is a small but important part of Tulsa Shade’s overall goal. They seriously strive to be competitive with other dealers in the Tulsa area. Ellig admits, “Yes, I’m the ‘little guy’ alright, but this makes your business extremely important to me. To give you personal service and to meet your needs is always my foremost aim. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed.”

Tulsa Shade offers most major brands and offers installation with full service and repairs to residential and commercial, interior, and exterior situations. Remote power rise and motorization available on most applications.

Tulsa Shade is located at 2739 E. 15th St. on the Northwest corner of 15th and Delaware. Parking is in the back, or call 744-0027.
