The leadership team of Tulsa’s Young Professionals has officially announced their leadership’s endorsement of Vision2. The Vision2 initiative gives the citizens of Tulsa County the opportunity to continue investing in the region by extending the current Vision 2025 initiative to retain and create jobs, improve communities and ensure a stronger future for the Tulsa region.

“We engage the community in every way possible to support our mission, which is to attract and retain young talent and develop the next generation of business and community leaders in Tulsa,” said Kate Hoback, Chair of Tulsa’s Young Professionals. “With that mission in mind, we want to express our leadership team’s support for the growth of the Tulsa region through the proposals outlined by Vision2.”

ros is one of the largest and fastest-growing young professional groups in the nation. The organization has over 8,000 members organized into nine work crews and hosts more than 75 events annually. Through a recent survey of ros membership, area young professionals overwhelmingly identified city planning and other community improvement initiatives as the number one priority in the region’s ability to compete for skilled workers.

“The two proposals of Vision2 are equally important to our region and equally important to the mission of ros. Through its passage, we can attract and retain talented workers, who will help grow our regional economy. In addition, ros has historically been a strong advocate for River development. Funds from Vision2 could have an immense impact on how we utilize this unrealized asset,” said ros Executive Director Brian Pascal.

The two Vision2 propositions will be on Nov. 6 ballot for all Tulsa County citizens. For more information on Vision2, please visit YestoVision2.com.
