Union Continues Dominance

DANIEL C. CAMERON for Union Boundary
For the second straight year the Union Redskins have defeated their archrival Jenks Trojans for the state championship. The win earns Union its 6th state championship and fifth this decade.
The difference this year is that Union completely dismantled Jenks 52-19, leaving the Trojans scoreless at halftime in the Dec. 4 game.
The game was won on a kickoff return for a touchdown on the opening possession of the night.
Union managed their schedule very well, blowing out everyone along the way. The only loss came to Jenks in a squeaker early in the season.
