Union Graduate Dr. Ricco Wright Announces Run for Tulsa Mayor

Dr. Ricco Wright held a news conference June 12 at Picasso’s Barber Studio, 3049 S. Sheridan Road, to announce his candidacy for Tulsa Mayor.
Wright, a Black Wall Street business owner, filed his candidacy for Mayor June 10.
Wright, 38, is the founder and CEO of Black Wall Street Gallery. A native Tulsan, he was born in Turley and raised in Tulsa. He graduated from Union High School and completed his bachelor’s degree at Langston University before being accepted into Columbia University in New York City as a Bill Gates Scholar, where he received a doctorate in mathematics.
Dr. Wright will provided information about his candidacy as well as the need for new leaders who can connect and communicate across socioracial and economic divides to unite communities and serve all Tulsans.
