Union Hires Executive Director for Education Foundation

A UNION WELCOME: Union’s new superintendent beginning July 1, Dr. Kirt Hartzler, welcomes Bonnie Polak, who will become Union Schools Education Foundation executive director in July.


Union Schools Education Foundation () Trustees have hired the foundation’s first executive director: Bonnie Polak. Polak will begin in July.

As executive director, Polak will be responsible for the planning, direction, administration and implementation of comprehensive development programs resulting in financial assistance from to Union Public Schools. She will also lead the foundation’s fund-raising and public relations efforts while overseeing its financial records.

Polak joins after serving as director of special events for the Home Builders Association () of Greater Tulsa for almost 10 years. At , she oversaw the Greater Tulsa Home & Garden Show, Greater Tulsa Parade of Home and the Remodeled Tulsa Tour. She helped the exceed $1 million in revenue for the first time in special event history.

Previously, Polak served as an account executive for Saint Francis Health System, coordinator of special events for the Michael F. Price College of Business for the University of Oklahoma in Norman and as public relations account executive for Group Bolton in Dallas.

Polak has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma. She has been active in Leadership Tulsa, Tulsa’s 20 New Leaders Planning Committee, the President’s Associates Council for OU, Junior League of Tulsa, Tulsa Junior Women’s Association and the Public Relations Society of America.
