Union Names Seniors of The Month for September

Anna Claire McMullen and Mason Mecke have been named September Seniors of the Month at Union High School. She is the daughter of Joh and Kay McMullen of Tulsa. He is the son of Stefan and Lori Mecke of Tulsa.
Anna Claire is active as president of Yoga Club, vice president of WRAP, FUSE, co-president of both Chemistry Club and HOSA and member of RFC. She also volunteers as an intern at the Tulsa Zoo, tutoring chemistry and volunteers at Asbury Methodist Church. Honors include National Merit Semifinalist, Miss Union junior royalty, AP Scholar, Freshman Biology Student of the Year and 2018-2019 Union Poetry Slam winner. She is undecided on college but hopes to study biochemistry and molecular biology.
Mason is active in basketball, Tee-Pee Crew, National Honor Society, Choir, FUSE and Tribe retreat. He volunteers in youth basketball with the YMCA and Union, park clean-up and as a camp counselor for youth basketball. Honors include being Mr. Union Royalty, Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, Union Letter Award, Frontier Valley Academic all-Conference and Sons of the American Revolution Outstanding Citizen award. He is also undecided on college but hopes to study biology or biochemistry and play basketball. He plans to attend medical school and become a pediatrician or allergist.
