Union School District Voters Carpooling to UMAC

Regardless of school closings, the Tuesday, Feb. 8 Union bond/board election cannot be cancelled.

In an effort to ensure enough voters are able to get to the polls, Union Public Schools Superintendent Cathy Burden is calling for district residents to carpool to the .

A letter from the superintendent reads:

Dear Union Parents and Employees,

Please help us get voters to the on the High School campus for Union’s critical bond issue and Board of Education District #1 election this Tuesday, February 8. Spread the word that since most neighborhoods are still snow packed, the Tulsa County Election Board has centralized all of Union’s voting precincts into one at the .

Some of us are able to negotiate neighborhood roads onto the main thoroughfares without difficulty, but some of us may not be able to. Please carpool if you can and suggest to others on your e-mail lists, club rosters, and social networks that they give their friends and families a lift to the between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Extraordinary circumstances require an extra dose of Union spirit. We look forward to seeing you at the this Tuesday, Feb. 8!
