FOUNDER’S BRONZE: On Nov. 6, Up With Trees, the River Parks Authority, Mayor Kathy Taylor, friends, family, and dignitaries joined together to unveil a bronze statue in honor of Sid Patterson.
The statue is at 31st Street and Riverside Drive, just south of the pedestrian bridge. The statue was sculpted by Rosalind Cook and is titled, “Planting for the Future.” Patterson founded Up With Trees in 1976. Up with Trees mission is “to beautify greater Tulsa by planting trees and to create urban forestry awareness through education.”
