VINCE GILL
Oklahoma native and country superstar Vince Gill is returning to his home state on Jan. 22, when he will perform at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.
Ticket prices and sale date will be announced at a later date.
In the last 26 years, Gill has released 12 studio albums, charted more than 40 singles and sold more than 26 million albums.
His trophy case includes 18 Country Music Association Awards and 20 Grammy Awards, which ranks him higher than any male country music artist. Among Gill’s Awards are five for Male Vocalist of the Year, which put him in a tie with George Strait. He is currently second behind Garth Brooks and Brooks and Dunn for the most Awards in history.
Beginning in 1984, Gill charted 19 singles on the Billboard US Country Top 40 before earning his first No. 1 in 1992, with “I Still Believe in You.” He would follow the feat with three additional No. 1 singles off the same album, including “Don’t Let Our Love Start Slippin’ Away,” “One More Last Chance” and “Tryin’ to Get Over You.”
Gill’s career began in 1979 as part of the country rock band Pure Prairie League, but the Norman native became a star after going solo in 1984. In 2007, Gill’s achievements earned him an induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Since 2000, Gill has been married to Christian/pop singer Amy Grant.
