Walmart Opens First Tulsa County Vision Center
Walmart celebrated the opening of its first Vision Center in Tulsa County with a ribbon-cutting in December at the Supercenter at 6310 S. Elm Pl. in Broken Arrow.
The new Vision Center affirms Walmart’s commitment to serve communities with accessible eye exams, high-quality eyeglasses and contact lenses.
“We are thrilled to provide the people of Broken Arrow and nearby communities with affordable access to all of their eyecare needs,” said James Jones, Walmart’s market health and wellness director for Oklahoma and Arkansas.
“Walmart is always looking for ways to improve our customers’ lives and we believe this addition will be a wonderful benefit for local families,” Jones said. “We hope everyone will come see the new Vision Center and utilize their vision benefits before the year ends.”
The Vision Center offers a range of eyewear options and will include brands like Ray Ban, Oakley, Nike, Coach and Flower. Walmart is also the exclusive retailer of Elton John’s designer eyewear collection. In addition, Walmart will provide an industry leading warranty for each pair of glasses at no cost to the customer.
“Walmart Vision Centers will empower all of our customers to choose from a wide selection of glasses to fit their unique personality and lifestyle,” Jones said. “We are thankful for the opportunity to provide quality products at everyday low prices so that our patients can save money and live better.”
Recent modernization of state laws governing eyecare made it possible for Walmart to offer in-store Vision Center services. The company plans to open six Vision Centers in Oklahoma in 2022.
The Broken Arrow Vision Center will employ opticians and a manager to take care of the local community’s optical needs.
