Women’s Golf Second, Men Fifth at Jackrabbit Invitational

PRIMM, Nev.- Oral Roberts men’s golf team is in fifth place after two rounds of the South Dakota State Jackrabbit Invitational, Monday at Primm Valley Golf Club.

The Golden Eagles shot 600 (300-300) during play on Monday. ORU trails team leader Nebraska (581), Arkansas State (590), UMKC (595) and Western Illinois (595) in the 17-team event.

ORU sophomore Bryan Boaz (Tulsa, Okla.) is among the tournament leaders at 4-over par 148 (75-73), good for 10th. He trails individual leader Brandon Crick (-5) of Nebraska by nine strokes. Playing as an individual, Garrett Moore (Tulsa, Okla.) is second overall, four strokes behind Crick at 143 (70-73).

Shannon Allen (Plainview, Texas) is tied for 27th after shooting 152 (74-78), while Terence Begnel (Tulsa, Okla.) is tied for 33rd at 153 (75-78).

Jake Spencer (Anthony, N.M.) is tied for 38th at 154 (83-71), and Kyle Spencer (Sapulpa, Okla.) is tied for 46th at 155 (76-79).

The Golden Eagles led after shooting a 291 during the first round, but slipped to 309 in the afternoon round and finished the day at 600. ORU trails team leader Missouri State (599) by just one stroke with one round remaining.

Megan O’Connell (Odessa, Texas) and Kylie Bollenbach (Edmond, Texas) are fifth and sixth, respectively, in the individual standings. O’Connell, the firsy round leader after opening with a 70, is at 3-over par 147 (70-77). Bollenbach is at plus-4 148 (71-77).

Amber Hensley (Jenks, Okla.) is tied for 18th at 152 (74-78), while Crystal Reeves (Broken Arrow, Okla.) is 34th after shooting 155 (76-79).

Eve Santillan (Aguascaliente, Mexico) is tied for 55th at 161 (84-77).
