TULSA-Oral Roberts and Oakland played to a 1-1 draw in a Summit League match, Friday at ORU Soccer Complex.

The Golden Eagles (6-4-1, 1-0-1) opened the scoring when sophomore Allison Hall banged a shot off the right post and into the lower left corner of the goal in the 13th minute. Sophomore Lauren Parks was credited with the assist after heading the ball to Hall.

Oakland (6-4-2, 2-0-1) wasted no time in scoring the equalizer less than two minutes later. Nicole DeLuca took a pass from Kara Weber and knocked a shot into the left side of the goal, tying the game at 1-1.

The contest remained tied through regulation and through a pair of 10-minute overtime periods.

The Golden Grizzlies took far more shots than ORU (19-5), but only five were on-gaol compared with four for the Golden Eagles.

ORU goalkeeper Amanda Wheeler made four saves while Oakland’s Shannon Coley stopped three shots.

ORU returns to action against Summit league foe IPFW, 1 p.m., Sunday at ORU Soccer Complex.
