Women’s Tennis Falls to No. 25 SMU, 6-0


TULSA – The Oral Roberts University women’s tennis team dropped a 6-0 decision to No. 25 SMU on Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

The Golden Eagles dropped matches at all six singles positions in straight sets for the loss.

Lina Semenova (Minsk, Belarus) dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to No. 47 Marta Lesniak at the top spot, while Kristin Gray fell (Tulsa, Okla.) 6-0, 6-0 to Shahzoda Hatamova at the No. 2 position.

SMU’s Pavi Francis defeated Tayler Pippin (Sand Springs, Okla.) by a score of 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 3 spot, while Ana Costa (Brasilia, Brazil) fell to Edyta Cieplucha at the No. 4 position by a score of 6-0, 6-2.

At the bottom positions, Ekaterina Kondrashova (Moscow, Russia) fell by a score of 6-3, 6-1 to Sophie Quist and Tori Dollar (Waxahachie, Texas) dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision to Casey Kennedy.

The Golden Eagles return to action at Arkansas on Feb. 26.
