Zoo Docents


The Tulsa Zoo, voted America’s favorite zoo, invites docents to help teach students of all ages about the wonders of the natural world.

Duties include conducting live animal presentations, leading group tours, creating and leading workshops and assisting with special events at the zoo.

To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and complete a nine-week training course which will be held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The training sessions begin on January 22. This program includes workshops in biology, ecology, conservation education and interpretive teaching techniques.
